The spray dryer is a device that can simultaneously perform drying and granulation. Depending on the process requirements, the pressure and flow of the feed pump, as well as the size of the spray holes, can be adjusted to produce spherical particles of the desired size ratio. It is a continuous atmospheric pressure dryer. Special equipment is used to spray the liquid material into a mist, which then comes into contact with hot air and is dried. It is commonly used for drying heat-sensitive liquids, suspensions, and viscous liquids such as fermentation broth, milk, eggs, tannins, and pharmaceuticals. It is also used for drying fuels, intermediates, soap powder, and inorganic salts.
