The DSM(Double Seam Monitoring) system can be installed on all Zacmi capping machines; it real-time checks the container's capping and rejects defective products at the end of the process. To avoid erroneous readings, capping machines equipped with DSM must be installed in a way that minimizes vibration and noise. During its operating cycle, an electromechanical cam with special sensors releases electronic pulses proportional to the capping strength applied to the lid edge. These pulses communicate with the machine's sensors and converter signals to identify the container, capping head, instantaneous speed, and the corresponding force-position curve. Through algorithms, the acceptability of the curve is assessed in real time, and any anomalies are eliminated. Subsequently, a rejection device is activated to discard defective containers. The system allows for different configurations based on container size and required workflow. Tolerance limits can be adjusted at any time.
